Jacob Celebrates One Year at Pio’s Kitchen

Parties with all the programs, entertainment and frills are fun and all, but sometimes I get to cover celebrations that are simple yet meaningful. The kind that makes you go “Hey, I’d like to have a party like that too.” For Jacob’s first birthday, his parents opted for a simple celebration with an intimate crowd of close friends. An afternoon of good conversations and good food provided by Pio’s Kitchen in their cozy home convertible into a dining space. Everyone just spent their time chatting, laughing and eating. I guess the awesome paella had something to do with it. Yup, I definitely would like to have a party like that…

Charles and Ilene – Only for You

Sometimes you have to make the decision to hold on to destiny, even if it will bring you through difficult seasons, that is how you know for yourself what love is. This I see in the eyes of Charles and Ilene as their eyes meet at the wedding aisle, and in the smiles and happy tears of their loved ones around them. This is a wedding that has been a delight to capture, one that overflows with happiness and teaches you to fall in love all over again. Kelvin and Tricia – Zambawood Love – Part 2

The shade under the pine forest gave us respite from the wicked sun, and the gentle, albeit hot breeze is a welcome guest during the third set of Kelvin and Tricia’s engagement shoot. The scenery provided a wonderful backdrop until the sun decides to be a little kinder. When the sun reached it’s golden hour we started playing again at the beach, same time as the nearby fishermen were raising their nets to call it a day, and after the sun went down we decided to call it a day as well. We enjoy the twilight as we pack up and ready to go home. Hair and Make Up by:…

Jed and Lalaine – Colors of Love

Concepts of married life vary like the many colors we see. When these colors come together they make the rainbow, majestic and wonderful, a sign of promise given by God. Let your marriage be like the rainbow, where all aspects come together to form a complete picture that will all point to the creator of all things. Steve and Monica – St Peter the Apostle Parish

It has been quite a while since I did a wedding in St. Peter’s in Paco, it’s a nicely designed church except for some power lines so close to the facade. One design I love though is the huge wooden main doors, it just begs to be photographed. I always look forward to capturing the moments scattered throughout the day, they’re the ones that make each wedding day unique, I especially loved the tender and funny ones from the kids, they always seem to add flavor to any “serious” event. One kid was mimicking one of the videographers of the event. Lastly, my heart skipped a beat when I know…

Sam and Nika – Chinese Engagement

I believe in having fun during weddings and engagements, especially in Chinese engagements where most people are quiet and stiff during the ceremony, a little laughter can lift the mood and make it a more memorable event. I notice that the mood of the guest almost always reflect the personality of the couple and their families, whenever I have a happy couple, I get to catch more happy and laughing candids of the guests, it is true that laughter is contagious. So whenever it’s your turn to have a Tinghun, don’t worry, the ceremony is simple and it can actually be fun. I greatly admire the food and service of…
