Quintessential Vibe

I step into the wonderful lobby of Manila Peninsula for their Forbes 5 Star celebration night, I’m setting my expectations high for tonight’s program, because I know any celebration done in this grand lobby is always… you guessed it, grand! But when I asked about the program, they simply mentioned, in line with international women’s month, a musical performance by 5 ladies. I let out an inaudible “oh…”

I guess they noticed that I was not that impressed, so they added, “Well, they’re gonna play together.” I still didn’t understand how that would go so I just let it pass.

So fast forward a bit, after the speeches and thank yous were given, the program switched gears and the music started to take over. Our ears and hearts weren’t prepared for the magic we heard.

Amazing music flooded the hall, not only that, it was an unusual mix of classic, electric, sultry and jazz sounds that would either take turns or pair up in different combinations that make up a truly delightful listening experience. I was working the whole night but my ears are in bliss.
